Let’s “Locomote” (pre-school
& K)
Learn how snakes slither, frogs leap and chinchillas jump in this special
program designed to teach young children how animals move. Your students
will discover the many different types of animal locomotion through comparison
activities in addition to a live animal presentation.
Animals
In Your Own Back Yard (grades 1 & 2)
You don’t have to look very far to encounter interesting animals.
Awaken students’ imaginations by showing them the wild animals that
can be discovered right at their fingertips. Together, you and your students
will explore the types of offspring, eating habits, and habitats of the
animals that live in Texas.
Moist
Skin and Dry Scales (grades 3 & 4)
Is a snake’s skin slippery and wet? Touch it and find out. Hands-on
is the best way to learn about amazing amphibians and remarkable reptiles.
Your students will discover the characteristics and habitats of these
misunderstood members of the animal world.
The
“Unhuggables” (grades 4 – 6)
Ughhh! Treat your class to some of nature’s most misunderstood animals
– such as snakes, spiders, and rats. Explore myths, legends, and
literature that contributed to the bad reputations these animals have,
and how the “unhuggables” play an important role in our world.
