Explore the Frank Buck Zoo in beautiful Leonard Park. Admission is $3 for students, $5 for chapersones. Enjoy “zoo meals” (call 940-668-4539 to pre-order) on a dining deck over looking the zoo, or picnic in the park. Park Pavillion available for rental Fri.-Sun. call 940-668-4531. Unwind at the sprawling community playground and the Frank E. Schmitz miniature train ride call 940-668-4530 for schedule (Marchl-Oct.). Encounter chatty parrots, tittering tamarins, and much, much more. Experience a “giraffe’s eye-view” of a 45.5 acres mixed species African Savannah exhibit from our elevated walkway. Participate in a Giraffe Feeding (10:30 a.m.daily, which allows students to meet one of our “gentle giants” first hand. Giraffe feeding is $1.00 per person. |

Schedule an on-site Animal Encounter program in the beautiful zoo amphitheater to discover amazing things about our animal friends (940-727-9097). Programs start at $80, $50 for each additional back-to-back program, 50 student max. per program. Can’t make a fieldtrip out to the zoo? Our Frank Buck’s Wild Cargo programs bring the zoo to your classroom. Call for availability and pricing. All programs are interdisciplinary (science, social studies, and geography), interactive, hands-on experiences featuring live animals. Programs are aligned with the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA’s) Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) guidelines. |
