Grants zebra are typically between 55-80lbs. at birth. Parents are first time mother "Zebbi" and sire "Zeppelin". The foal was born during the wee hours of 11/9/2008. For $1, zoo visitors will be able to vote on the name they like. All contributions towards the name vote will go to purchasing acreage for a preserve in the Kunene Region protected area in Namibia, Africa. This park will be one of the last true wilderness areas in Africa linking the Skeleton Coast and Etosha National Park, thereby facilitating wildlife migrations and creating 15 million acres of conservation area. At Frank Buck Zoo we think of each precious member of the animal collection as an ambassadors for their species.
